TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 29, 2007) - Peter Mordaunt, President and Chairman of Stingray Resources Inc. ("Stingray") (TSX:SRY)(TSX:SRY.WT) with pleasure announces that Ricardo Cornejo will join Stingray in the position as Vice President of Operations in September 2007. Mr. Cornejo received a BSc Chemical Engineering at the University of Sonora and then went to the University of Arizona where his graduate studies were also focused on Chemical Engineering.

Mr. Cornejo has over 30 years of engineering and operating experience in the Minerals Industry with emphasis on hydrometallurgical operations including leaching, solution purification, solvent extraction and electro-winning (SX-EW) of copper . He was responsible for development and operation of the first two largest copper leaching operations in Mexico. His background includes extensive participation in projects in North America, South America, Africa and Australia. Consistently his focus and experience has been related to SX-EW copper and metallurgical operations management, process design and project management.

Peter Mordaunt states "There is not a better qualified individual within the Southwest USA or Northern Mexico to initiate, oversee and complete the feasibility study for the El Pilar Copper Project in Sonora State, Mexico. Ricardo's experience in SX-EW copper projects throughout the world as well as right next door on two projects in the El Pilar area, will be invaluable for developing the Stingray Feasibility Study. Couple Mr. Cornejo with Joe Keane and Richard McRae and Stingray has assembled a team highly capable of producing a first rate study."

There are currently two drills at the El Pilar and the 25,000 meter drill program is progressing well.
